Making words easier
PPF can be commissioned to provide accessible versions of letters; brochures; policies and consultations. This is a user-led easy read project.
We can turn your leaflets, booklets, and documents into an accessible format. We do this together with a group of members, who understand how difficult things can be to understand, and how to make it easier. We are part of Planet Easy Read – contact mal@barod.org for a chat.
We can also make videos that can be easily accessed using a QR code – making things even easier for everyone!
LD Champion for Easy Read – Lucy Hinksman
“Hi my name is Lucy Hinksman and I work with easy read, I have been in this role since September 2020.
I have had training to go through a document to make sure each section is easy to understand and making sure that difficult words are explained and that pictures help with the understanding of the words. I have also talked with Barod and they have helped me with documents.
I am working with the dream team, which is a group of people with learning disabilities from Pembrokeshire, Ceridigion and Carmarthanshire. We discuss accessibility and we encourage people to sign up for the LD charter.
Lastly, I can also use ‘Inprint’ software.”
